It asks me to sign in again, or the tool call is refused

Using a tool requires the browser sign-in. Seeing the tool list does not mean you're signed in. Finish the window the app opened. Don't paste a password, access token, or API key into the chat or into request headers.

Claude says the connector can't be reached

Use the public URL from the plugin page. Claude does not call localhost. On Team and Enterprise, an owner has to add the connector before members can connect it.

Cursor doesn't show the plugin

Check that mcp.json is valid JSON, that the name sits under mcpServers, and that you restarted Cursor. A project file overrides a global one when the names match.

Grok doesn't offer Custom

On Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the server in the xAI console first. On a personal account, it's New Connector, then Custom, at grok.com/connectors.

ChatGPT search doesn't find it

Only Continuity is in the app directory today. The other plugins need developer mode until review finishes.

The browser window errors before you can sign in

Start the connect again from the assistant, not from a bookmark of the sign-in page. If it still fails, email support with the plugin name and what the window said. Don't include passwords, tokens, or card numbers.
